I came into this service from my love of babies and the excitement that surrounds growing families. Being able to bridge the time of pregnancy with parenthood is key to developing love in the home; this love spreads both into the family and the greater community.
Every family I work with presents unique situations and challenges. Trained as an infant care specialist and breastfeeding counselor I help families transition comfortably into parenthood, during the first few days, weeks and months.
I am passionate about my chosen field and I am involved in our local birth worker community. I am also committed to continuing education. This allows me to offer a variety of resources to you and your family. I am certified through Doulas of North America (DONA) in postpartum care and a Breastfeeding Counselor with the Nursing Mothers Counsel. I set aside time to volunteer at Siena Maternity House where I coordinate other postpartum and birth doulas, offering this great service to those in need.
